Well hello folks.
I had almost forgot about this here blog. Truth is I haven't felt much inspiration for writing lately, actually, a whole year of no inspiration. Attempting to get back into it.
**AN UPDATE FOR 2010 TILL NOW**
For those who do not know, I have been working with a ministry called Living Alternatives. It's a branch ministry out of Youth With A Mission - Tyler. It's Located in Garden Valley, TX. A town that most likely will not be on your Great American travel maps. It's home though, and I love it.
Living Alternatives is a ministry focused on the family. It consists of a maternity home called Fatherheart, where I am currently working. Shocked? Well, I wouldn't be anywhere else right now, it's where my heart is. Living Alternatives also has an adoption agency, foster care program, earn as you learn programs and a pregnancy resource center. A very busy ministry but the Lord is all over it and around it and living in it. It's where I want to be.
I can't begin to tell you how much I have learned being apart of this incredible ministry. He has given me such a big heart for these young women that come through the program. I can say that all the time they are needing a guy friend who can be just that, a guy friend. For right now I believe God has put me in that place. Serving anywhere I can, cooking, cleaning, repairs here and there. I'm also the official pool man, I wear the title proudly. I serve with an amazing Fatherheart staff as well. These few people have spoken into my life in so many ways, it's been an honor to rub shoulders with them in this ministry field. This past year has been such a growing experience. Ups, downs and inbetweens. It's been a great start. Not sure how long the Lord has me here, but I'm sure glad He does.
Thanks for reading, hopefully in the near future I will have more inspirational, deep, moving, challenging, awesome, amazi... kidding. This blog will be solely for whatever is on my heart. Also for updates in my ministry.
